Eventful and embarrassing.
Yesterday must have been the most embarrassing day in a long time. And eventful. The good thing about this was, not the embarrassment or events particularly, but the exhaustion at the end of the day which resulted in a good cry laugh at myself. I was laughing so hard I was crying. And that’s gotta be good for the soul. Haven’t had a good laugh for awhile.
I went and saw the first one of Ngapartji Ngapartji last night. It was pretty cool yeah. I got to learn how to sing heads, shoulders knees and toes in Ptjantjajara. Which is way cool. I kept practicing throughout my swim this morning. And I still haven’t forgotten. Yes! Oh and I learnt that one too. Uwa! It’s pretty ripper. I like creative ideas like that.
I started my work on Tuesday. It’s been pretty fun too. Most things have been pretty fun lately. I was home for an hour so yesterday afternoon and had this huge desire to stare at a wall for a long period of time and let my week assimilate to me. I never realised how much assimilation time I actually need. And tea is the best merry ol’ medicine for a bit of assimilatin’ time. Sip. Sip. Nothingness. Brilliant.
I was coming home from uni in the arvo yesterday and was feeling mildly disheveled. I was walking home from the bus, and strangely enough, there was this woman walking the other way. She had all these red bits of plant in her hair (that I don’t think she realised were there) and there was something about her seeming oblivious to the red bits of plant in her hair that made everything seem okay. I hope she wasn’t embarrassed when she realised, because it was nice.
