We have a 2nd smaller amigo/caterpillar. He is called Amigito. At first I thought our little Amigo had given birth to it, but then I found out Martin just found us another one in the garden.

But, I haven’t warmed to Amigito the same way I have to Amigo. Amigo is just so the best ever! So poor old Amigito has a hard act to follow.

These are the postcards I am handing in for my assignment on vernacular type. I have no idea what I am doing really. I am just sort of hoping that they make an okay set. I have this massive pile of photographs which are cool singularly, but I don’t know how to make sets! Grr.

I was walking up to catch the bus after uni today. I was walking up the escalators and I heard this really loud noise and I thought, ‘wow, that sounds like a steam train is coming down George St’. And then I saw the coolest thing ever. There must have been about 1000 guys on Harley’s revving their engines at the lights. Everyone was watching and I thought, ‘I wish I had a friend to share this moment with’, and alas, I looked to the street and saw my papa standing there. I ran to try and kick him on the bum but he saw me before I could. The bikes went down the street and it took a good 5 minutes for them all to pass. It was loud, caused a traffic clump and was cool. It even needed police to stop traffic. Yep. It was THAT cool.

Now I don’t know if it is just because I am wearing colourful clothes, but I just feel like things are colourful.

It’s been a most awful day. Everything I have tried to do has…not worked. It gets pretty tiring after ahile. The worst thing is, I have to go to work tomorrow. I think I might drink some tea now.
One thing that did work out was that I managed to get my photography assignment back. That was a little cheer.

Fi and Gnomes and Trace came to our house and had dinner last night. It was the first time we’d got together since Jo and I moved out of that hosue. It was nice to see them. Change is a untangible kind of thing…

I’m a bit of an M Scott Peck groupie. I finished The Different Drum the other week. And…well I came across another book on Friday night and I started reading it this morning. And it’s really exciting to think how much mroe of the book is left.

The trip to my espanol class on Mondays is always fun because I walk through the science labs and am able to pretend for just 5 minutes that I know lots about scientific data and computers and flasks and chemical reactions and stuff. There are these science labs that go for the length of the corridor with doors going the whole way through into different sections of the labs.

There are alwasy flasks bubbling away and computers with data and students and teachers in white lab coats. And it’s always like I’m witnessing people discovering new data and the cure for cancer and things like that.

And then I exit the corridor and I forget about it until the next Monday, when the whole fantasy begins again.
