This has been a pretty full-on week. I don’t really even know why, but I sure have felt it. I’m awfully glad it’s Friday. On the other side of full-on-ness, this week has gone incredibly slowly.
I’m going bushwalking this weekend. And the great thing about that, which I found out last night is that Sunday is “National Bushwalking Day”, which was not known when making these plans, and most likely wouldn’t have been unless someone told me. I’m very glad I’m going bushwalking on “National Bushwalking Day”, and without knowing it was, it’s like it’s so much part of our roots that we just do these things subconsciously.
I was reading a really interesting article this morning on slime mould from the Good Weekend. That science kind of thing doesn’t really engage me, but this did, I even thought, I think I’d like to be a scientist, which just for the record has never ever crossed my mind before. Although, “I’m so glad I’m not a scientist” has defintely crossed my mind many times. Not that I have anything against scientists, my brain just doesn’t work that way, except for when it comes to slime mould. I think it was when it came to talking about finding out how the mould is the same as human genes and how we are build from the same cells that make us act in particular ways. Now that’s way interesting!
