Let your conversation be always full of grace…
Colossians 4:6
I really don’t do this well. I think its a pretty hard thing for people to do. I think it’s something that humans don’t do well generally. I would really like to try and do this better, it captures a lot for me about the things I do that I wish I wouldn’t. Conversation can so easily and subtley disguise the bad things we do.
It captures a lot about how I feel about many things in Christianity. There are so many things that we need to do and learn and understand and sometimes (often) I get overwhelmed, but I think that if we can focus on our conversation being full of grace, a lot of the other things we are asked to do are either done within that, or they at least sit more comfortably in love and kindness and many other good and lovely things.
But I know that I can do this better - there is definitely room for improvement, and this will be one of my focuses of late.
