I’m awfully glad I don’t have to learn English I mean, what’s with this:
I read a book.
I like to read.
Exactly the same word and spelling but different pronunciations. I mean…wouldn’t you just be saying what crazy person thought of that rule.

Not to mention there, their and they’re.

That’s pretty muddling. Although at least they are spelt different. Although, I still get confused sometimes.
