I went to the library yesterday and was reading some books. They were so interesting. It was great. And I photocopied heaps of things and now I am reading them for my assignment and I am actually looking forward to doing my work. It’s great. I’ve found the side of design I find so fascinating, and I knew that, but my uni never talks about it, I just so happened to make the topic up myself. It’s all about haptic types and visual types and haptic art and its so interesting. Lines, colours, textures. So fascinating. I really start to wonder whether I should have done a psychology degree. But I try and convince myself no.
We went to Belvoir last night and saw Black Medea, it was an Indigenous adaptation of the Oedipus story. It was pretty full-on, but good. Easier to follow than I expected considering the description. There was lots of knives on stage and I felt uneasy the whole time. And one guy passed out and they had to stop the play. I don’t think it was the knives though. It would have been for me…if I was in the front row…where he was. I don’t know I could do a play where there was knives…maybe it would be easier if I knew exactly what was going to happen with them, but I just worry about the audience. The other thing I worried about was the glass bottle that got smashed at the beginning in the sand and then the actors kept walking through the sand. Hmm. Anyway.
I am sitting here at my house and I can here the train announcements. It’s so weird.
