Last night I saw Lior. First Jo, Mike, Tash and I went for dinner at a Thai place in Newtown for yum yums. Then we joined Tracy at the Vanguard which was such a cool little venue. Really cool red curtains like Moulin Rouge and just had a really cool vibe and the waiters were so friendly and helpful. Fi arrived later and there was a crazy guy called Old Man River playing, and he was joined by all these other random folk and they changed music style every song and were really funky but hard to grab hold of. I got a massive free bowl of icecream and a yum yum bread and butter pudding.
Lior totally rocked. He was soooo good live, even better than his CD. He’s up there in line with the John Mayer live awesomeness. He just did such a funky job. Good work. It was so cool to see someone in such an intimate audience with so much guts perform. He could even be (dare I say it) better than John Mayer live. That’s how cooly dooley he was. He was just everything you wanted in a live act really. Yep. Time to stop the blabber.
I went and asked him after the show to sign a CD. Man I am so shy. He was friendly, Jo tells me but I was too scared to look at him. I felt like he thought I was an idiot for being shy and embarrassed.
So cool. But I’m tired because I had to wake up to let in the guy who came to fix the leak in the roof. Why are tradesmen obsessed with calling women “love”. I just don’t get it.

Lior! Cool! you lucky. I hope that his new album is recognised for the art that it is.. If pete murray can become as big as he is I imagine Lior could become an international superstar

He’s so cool
He’s going to be big cause he’s such a groover. He’s got more gigs soon about the place so catch him soon, before he’s real expensive.
