controversy!!!!!

There is one thing that annoys me about John Mayer.

Although it may not technically be his fault, in fact I’m sure it’s not. But it really bugs me everytime I go to put him on, so he pays the consequences for my annoyance.

Heavier Things: What’s with the font change??? I mean we’re going with a bit of a basic but unusual Helvetica type font on the front, although I don’t quite know what it is. And then all of a sudden, on the side and the back we could be bothered to change the font so we just leave it in Myriad??? I don’t think so. Not Happy John! It’s as if they forgot to design the side and back cover so someone came along after and just put some greeny blue on and typed up the song list but forgot to consult with the front. What’s most annoying is that it’s Myriad on the side and it stands out when it’s on my CD rack. I see it miles away, and I mean really, that’s the default font. I quite like the font, but not for a John Mayer CD cover. And the rest of the CD cover is really cool and thoughtful.

I can’t begin to explain how seriously annoying it is. It just doesn’t match. Check it out. It’s all wrong.

Unfortunately the art direction was done by John Mayer himself. But I can’t honestly imagine that John himself would have said to do that. I think that perhaps when the cds got shipped to Australia, there was all these rats on the boat and they ate all the back covers. Yep. And so some year 10 work experience student was asked to make a new back cover. I think its really the only solution to what may have happened. Yes! Oh Yes!

I’m looking at my cover and it looks like the same font all over. Perhaps your cd is different from mine, or my eye isn’t as trained as yours.

I think that I will have to check yours out. I think I got robbed. Because I checked on the internet and I really think that its meant to be the same font all over. I mean its the John Mayer font. I think that you would notice if you were looking for it. I think mine must have been the year 10 work experience kid
