Bush and walking and blister
Whoosh. That was fun. But I think maybe its easy to say that now I have had a shower and am not walking with that bag on my back and those blisters.
We walked 43kms from Mt Manning to Wiseman’s Ferry along the Great North Rd. A road that the convicts built a long time ago(in Australian terms) to go to Newcastle. But then they decided not to use it. It was pretty cool, but very hard work. We found a real nice camping spot at the bottom of Mt Baxter where we made some dinner winner which was truely gross. But the custard was great and so was watching the sun set over the mountains from our fire spot.
I think although I am totally exhausted and pained, it was sooooooo nice not to think about ooni work for a whole weekend. That was kind of relaxing. I was just thinking, in the shower (because thats the best place to think), about how we were eating dinner at this time last night, and were in bed by 8pm. It was so nice to have no pressures to do anything, but to just feel relaxed in the company you’re in and have nothing to worry about but feeding yourself and sleeping. So that was ripper fun, even though most of today I was just waiting for it to finish.
Why were we in so much pain? It didn’t even seem like a very difficult walk. One will never know.
